NEW INFORMATION FOR TEMPORARY PROTECTION HOLDERS
The Government of Montenegro adopted the Decision on Extension of Temporary Protection for Persons from Ukraine, which foresees the possibility for another 1-year extension, i.e. by 11 March 2025.
The application process for temporary protection extension starts on Monday, 11 March, 2024.
Therefore, we would like to inform all refugees from Ukraine that they should approach the branch units of the MoI in their places of residence to apply for extension of the temporary protection status, on the basis of the current certificate of the temporary protection and passport.
Parents are able to apply for extension for temporary protection on behalf of their minor children (with respective documents), so the personal presence of the children during the application process is not obligatory.
Kindly note that the mobile unit of the MoI will be installed in Petrovac for this purpose only for Ukrainian TP holders residing in the Municipality of Budva.
The working hours of the branch offices of the Ministry of Interior are as follows:
Podgorica: 8.00 – 16.00
Bar: 8.00 – 16.00
Petrovac: 8.00 – 15.00
all other branch offices of the MoI: 8.00 – 15.00
