No more time apart, the reunion is possible

Juntos (Together) – The work team for family reunification

No more time apart, reunion is possible!

The United States Government created Juntos (Together), an initiative to identify and reunite certain families that were forcibly separated by the United States Government at the United States-Mexico border between January 20, 2017, and January 20, 2021.

If you are a mother, father, or guardian in this situation, and your daughter or son was under 18 years of age at the time of separation, you can start the reunification process by registering virtually and free of charge at https://www. juntos.gov/es the Government will review their case, and if they are eligible they will be included in the program so that later if everything is in order, they will be reunited in the United States.

Before registering, we recommend that you call the KIND organization, they are here to inform you and guide you in this process for free, and they will also answer all your questions. Call from your country:

  • Guatemala: +502 2302 5773
  • Mexico: +52 55 8897 5395
  • United States: +1 213 454 0527

This initiative is not for everyone, families that have been separated before January 2017 or after January 2021 are not eligible for this program. If you recently separated from your family you will not be able to be included in this initiative. Nor the families that decided to separate, or that were separated for other reasons.

The outreach and registration assistance for this initiative is being supported by UNHCR, as well as by the organization KIND and its partner Justice in Motion. It is important that you know that none of these organizations decides who can and cannot be part of this process.

Do not be fooled! Juntos (Together) is a free family reunification initiative in all its stages, no one should charge you or ask for something in return for providing you with information or for your registration on Juntos.gov. If you are eligible to enter the United States, your documentation and transfer will also be free.

If you registered at Juntos.gov, we recommend that you do not leave your home or your job, this will be a process that will take several months. You also do not need to go near the US border to start the process. Be patient, reuniting with your family is really worth it.
