How to apply for protection under Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights

Curaçao does not have an asylum procedure. However, you can request protection under Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The Foreigners’ Border Control and Supervision Unit of the Curaçao Police Force (UVTG in Dutch) is responsible for receiving protection requests under Article 3 ECHR. This is the department you must approach to apply for protection under Article 3.
