The Foreigners Border Supervision and Control Unit

Curaçao does not have an asylum procedure. However, you can apply for protection under Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The Foreigners Border Control and Supervision Unit of the Curaçao Police Force (UVTG, in Dutch) is responsible for receiving applications for protection under Article 3. This is the department you should turn to for requesting protection under Article 3. To apply for protection, you must go in person to the UVTG and complete an application there or contact them for any questions or information.

Human Rights Defense Curaçao

Human Rights Defense Curaçao is a local NGO and partner of UNHCR that provides assistance through technical support services or referrals to other local partners for those seeking protection against human rights violations of refugees, migrants, and the local population. HRDC also offers assistance and advice on the Article 3 ECHR process in Curaçao.

Salu pa Tur

The health clinic of the Salu pa Tur Foundation is a partner of UNHCR in Curaçao that provides basic medical care to all refugees and migrants without health insurance. The clinic offers the following services: general medical consultations, gynecological and maternity services, psychological consultations, and support for chronic illnesses. The clinic does not charge for basic services, but a fee may be charged for medical examinations and visits with a specialist.
