The Ministry of Security (MoS) is responsible for creating, maintaining, and implementing immigration and asylum policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Within the Ministry, the Sector for Asylum handles the registration of asylum applications, conducts Refugee Status Determination (RSD) interviews, and issues decisions on asylum claims.
Once international protection (refugee status or subsidiary protection) is granted, responsibility shifts to the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees.
