UNHCR is present in Belarus to liaise with state authorities at central and regional levels on all asylum-related matters which encompasses advising and counseling asylum-seekers and those granted protection; intervening with the authorities on behalf of individuals, as well as working closely with local non-governmental partners and state counterparts to provide support to persons who applied for asylum and received protection in Belarus.
