The whole amount for 3 months will be transferred to one member of the household, who is registered as head of household/focal point through the transfer method selected by the head of the household. The availability delivery mechanisms are:
Transfer through PrivatBank
Based on your preferred transfer method, and if you preferred to receive your assistance through your IBAN or bank cards, UNHCR will transfer your assistance amount to your IBAN number to your bank cards to any bank in Ukraine through PrivatBank.
PLEASE NOTE: UNHCR CASH ASSISTANCE CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO ANY BANK OF UKRAINE at the condition that the bank card number or IBAN number you provide during enrolment belongs to the Household focal point of your family and is in UAH currency. Please make sure your bank card or IBAN does not have any restrictions in terms of the types of transfers.
Transfer through Privat Money
You will receive an SMS on your phone number with the Privat Money code (0000000000) to be used jointly with a valid ID certificate (Passport, National ID, other government issued documents) to withdraw the assistance amount from PrivatBank branches.
Privat Money Pickup codes validity period
From the time you have received the SMS with your Privat Money pickup code, you have a total of 30 days to go to any Privat bank branches or Privat bank ATMs and retrieve the cash. The expiry date of the pickup codes is indicated in the SMS that you are receiving from UNHCR. You cannot withdraw your assistance on the expiry date. Please note the repayment process is very lengthy and UNHCR can only resend your assistance once all payments for other recipients are fully processed if you miss to withdraw your assistance within 30 days.
How to withdraw your Privat Money
- In the Privat24 system

- At a PrivatBank ATM (only money transfer is available to your bank accounts) *

* If the currency of the money transfer differs from the currency of the card to which you want to transfer funds, then the funds will be automatically converted into the currency of the card. The currency exchange rate, as well as the amount credited to the card, will be indicated at the last step.
Transfer through Western Union outlets
You will receive an SMS on your phone number with the MTCN code to be used jointly with valid ID certificate (Passport, National ID, other government issued documents) to receive the money in the Western Union outlets or its partner bank. You should be able to provide the required information from the SMS you are receiving such as MTCN pick up code, amount, sender and send country. All of this information is included in the SMS that you would be receiving. The addresses of the Western Union are available here.
Western Union Pickup codes validity period
From the time you have received the SMS with your Western Union pickup code, you have a total of 20 days to go to any Western Union outlets and retrieve the cash. The expiry date of the pickup codes is indicated in the SMS that you are receiving from UNHCR. You cannot withdraw your assistance the expiry date. Please note the repayment process is very lengthy and UNHCR can only resend your assistance once all payments for other recipients are fully processed if you miss to withdraw your assistance within 20 days.
Through digital wallet app and money transfer services
You will be notified by the following SMS:
You are eligible to receive cash assistance from UNHCR. Sign-up on Vibrant to claim your funds [link] within 7 days. If you have any questions, you can contact the UNHCR hotline at 0800-307-711 or the Vibrant support service at 0800-301-009.
You will need a smartphone to download the Vibrant digital wallet mobile app to receive, access, and cash out the assistance provided by the UNHCR. Please ensure you provide the same phone number you used to register for the humanitarian assistance program and when you registered for a Vibrant account. Sign up with your phone number, verify your date of birth for eligibility matching, and wait to receive the funds. You will receive a notification once your eligibility is confirmed, and the funds are in your Vibrant account.
You can exchange your funds to cash with MoneyGram or transfer to your bank account (you may want to check with your bank if it supports this service). Use instructions in the app to complete the withdrawal form and get your reference number. After the withdrawal request is successfully submitted, you can visit any partner MoneyGram branch to receive cash assistance. The list of locations can be found here. You may want to call the MoneyGram location in advance to ensure they are available. You will need to present the ID (internal passport, external passport, DIIA) and the reference number from the app.
