وتهدف الاستشارة القانونية إلى:

توضيح الإجراءات القانونية المعمول بها.

مناقشة الآلية القانونية الأفضل لمعالجة مشاكلهم القانونية.

ويجري تقديم الاستشارة القانونية عادةً من خلال:

المراكز القانونية والمراكز المجتمعية.

الفرق الجوالة وضمن مرافق الحماية التابعة للشركاء.

جميع خدمات الاستشارة القانونية مجانية ومصممة خصيصًا لمساعدة الأفراد المعرضين للخطر.

The Legal Assistance Program organizes regular awareness sessions to help individuals understand important legal topics and make informed decisions. These sessions aim to:

• Enhance knowledge of essential legal issues.
• Empower individuals to actively participate in decisions affecting their lives.

Topics covered may include:

• Personal Status Law (e.g., marriage, divorce, and custody)
• Civil Affairs Law (e.g., registration of births, marriages, and deaths)
• Housing, Land, and Property (HLP) Laws
• Civil Law
• Penal Code

Sessions are conducted in community centers, legal centers, and other locations to reach as many people as possible. These services are free of charge and designed to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals.

Legal intervention supports vulnerable individuals who may face challenges due to lack of legal knowledge, protection concerns, or financial difficulties. Lawyers assist with:

Documenting Personal Civil Events

• What’s covered? Marriage, birth, divorce, and death.
• How?
  • Lawyers assist with obtaining or replacing identity cards and family booklets from civil registries.
  • Help register events like marriages or deaths with courts and the Department of Civil Affairs when they weren’t previously documented.

Housing, Land, and Property (HLP) Matters

• What’s covered?
  • Counseling and awareness about housing and property rights.
  • Issuing replacement documents like cadastral records, ownership deeds, and power of attorney.
  • Representing cases in courts, such as restoring damaged real estate records or authenticating sale contracts.

Legal Issues for Women and Children

• What’s covered? Custody, alimony, inheritance, domestic violence, etc.
• Why? Women and children often face protection concerns.
• How?
  • Lawyers provide legal remedies for gender-based violence (GBV) and child protection (CP) cases.
  • Cases may be identified by lawyers, outreach volunteers, authorities, or referrals from NGOs/UN agencies.
