Reuniting with your family
Family reunification helps bring family members living in different countries together. Many countries around the world have special provisions to help immediate family members (usually spouses and minor children) stay together.
Refugees and asylum-seekers in Sri Lanka with immediate family members in one of those countries may be able to apply to reunite with their family members in that country. Whether your family can join you ultimately depends on the type of legal status you are granted and the nature of your relationship.
If you are a refugee or asylum-seeker in Sri Lanka aiming to reunite with your family in another country, you may be able to join them in the country where your family member is residing.
