The Serbian Government grants temporary protection to all the persons fleeing Ukraine, including their family members, who had legal residence in Ukraine. Temporary protection for all persons fleeing Ukraine has been extended until 18 March 2025.
This applies to:
- Citizens of Ukraine and their family members residing in Ukraine;
- Asylum-seekers, stateless persons, and foreign nationals who have been granted asylum or equivalent national protection, and their family members who had legal residence in Ukraine;
- Foreign nationals, with permanent or temporary stay in Ukraine, who cannot return safely to their country of origin.
If you are coming from Ukraine and need accommodation, the Serbian Commissariat for Refugees and Migration can provide it in the centre designated for the nationals of Ukraine. In this centre, you will receive information, food, health care, clothing, footwear, hygiene packs, educational and occupational activities, education for your children, Internet connection, psychological support and access to other rights and services.
If you have a place to stay, please contact a Trustee for refugees and migration in the municipality where you register. The Trustee will give you all the relevant information.
