Due to changes in roles and responsibilities, the issuance of support letters for refugees and asylum seekers in relation to the assessment of education certificates for equivalence is currently unavailable.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), which has overtaken this responsibility from Higher Education Relevance and Quality Assurance (HERQA), is currently referring all foreign nationals, including refugees, to their respective embassies in Addis for such services. This raises protection concerns for refugees. Therefore, RRS is in discussions with MoFA about a suitable solution.
