A change of canton may exceptionally be granted, but only on very limited grounds. One example is if you want to reunite with your spouse or children. The SEM may approve your request if both cantons agree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0fIf you are a recognized refugee (<strong>B permit<\/strong>), you can apply to move to another canton by contacting the immigration authority of the canton you want to live in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0fIf you are a temporarily admitted refugee (<strong>refugee F permit<\/strong>), you can apply to move to another canton by contacting the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-8cf370e7 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0fIf you are a temporarily admitted foreigner (<strong>foreigner F permit<\/strong>), you can apply to move to another canton by contacting the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM). The SEM will check with both cantons and decide.
