The public authorities will cover the costs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone living in Switzerland must have health and accident insurance. This basic insurance coverage is compulsory for everyone, regardless of their age, origin or residence status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0fIf you hold a <strong>N permit <\/strong>or a <strong>F permit<\/strong>, the process of obtaining a health insurance will be managed by the authorities directly. The costs will be covered by the cantonal social welfare system of the canton in which you reside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0fIf you are a recognized refugee (<strong>B permit<\/strong>), you are required to arrange your own health insurance within three months of receiving your B permit.
