When you apply for international protection, your fingerprints will be taken.
This also applies to your family members aged 14 or older<\/strong>.\n

Your fingerprints are stored in EURODAC<\/strong>, a European database.
It helps decide which country is responsible for your application.<\/p>\n

Which countries apply these rules?<\/h3>\n

The Dublin III Regulation applies in:<\/p>\n

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,
Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal,
Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Which country is responsible for your application?<\/h3>\n

Only one country<\/strong> is responsible.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

If you are under 18 and alone<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • If a family member is legally in another Dublin country \u2192 that country is responsible<\/li>\n
  • If you have no family in these countries \u2192 Slovenia is responsible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    <\/p>\n

    If you have close family<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • If your spouse\/partner or minor children are in another Dublin country \u2192 that country may be responsible (if you wish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

      <\/p>\n

      \n

      If you have documents<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Residence permit (valid or expired within 2 years) \u2192 that country is responsible<\/li>\n
      • Visa (valid or expired within 6 months) \u2192 that country is responsible<\/li>\n
      • Multiple permits or visas \u2192 depends on validity and expiry dates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

        If you travelled through another country<\/h4>\n
          \n
        • Entered another Dublin country irregularly \u2192 that country is responsible (up to 12 months)<\/li>\n
        • Stayed irregularly in another country for 5 months \u2192 that country is responsible<\/li>\n
        • Entered legally without a visa \u2192 that country may be responsible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

          • Applied in an airport transit area \u2192 that country is responsible<\/li>\n
          • Already applied in another Dublin country \u2192 that country is responsible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

            What happens if another country is responsible?<\/h3>\n
              \n
            • Slovenia will not examine your application<\/li>\n
            • You may be transferred to that country<\/li>\n
            • This usually happens within 6 months<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

              If no other country is responsible<\/h3>\n
