Anyone with concerns or suspicions about possible misconduct by UNHCR or NGO partners staff,&nbsp;<strong>should report it immediately<\/strong>.<\/strong> <strong>Your report will be treated with discretion and kept strictly confidential.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#0072bc\">What is <strong>misconduct<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Misconduct means any failure by a staff member to comply with their obligations or to observe the standards of conduct expected of an international civil servant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#0072bc;font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">What is<strong> fraud<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fraud is any action to intentionally mislead another to obtain a benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-background\" style=\"background-color:#faeb00\"><strong>ATTENTION! <\/strong>All services of UNHCR and its NGO partners are <strong>FREE<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All assistance and protection services offered to refugees and asylum seekers by UNHCR and its NGO partners are <strong>FREE OF CHARGE<\/strong>. Please be aware that <strong>you do not have to pay any money or provide any favours to get assistance from UNHCR or our partners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#0072bc\">What is <strong>Sexual Exploitation and Abuse?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sexual exploitation<\/strong> is any actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust for sexual purposes. It includes trafficking and prostitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sexual abuse<\/strong> is any actual or threatened sexual activity carried out by force or under unequal or coercive conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In line with the United Nations standards of conduct,&nbsp;<strong>the staff members of UNHCR and NGO partners must not<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Have sexual activity with anyone in exchange for money, employment, preferential treatment, goods or services,<\/li><li>Have sexual activity with anyone under the age of 18 years old,<\/li><li>Engage in any other form of sexually humiliating, degrading or exploitative behaviour.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#0072bc\"><strong>How can I report<\/strong> fraud, corruption, sexual abuse or exploitation and misconduct?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you or someone you know have been a victim of<strong> fraud, corruption, sexual abuse or exploitation, or other misconduct<\/strong> <strong>conducted by a UNHCR or UNHCR&#8217;s NGO partner staff member<\/strong>, please report it to the UNHCR Inspector General Office:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In person or by post: 94, rue de Montbrillant, Case postale 2500, CH-1211 Geneva 2 Depot Switzerland<\/li><li>By confidential email: <a href=\"mailto:inspector@unhcr.org\">inspector@unhcr.org<\/a><\/li><li>By using the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/igo-complaints.html\">online complaint form.<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your report will be treated with discretion and kept strictly confidential.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sexual exploitation and abuse are unacceptable behaviours and are prohibited for all United Nations and NGO partners\u2019 staff members.
