However, as a child, you have additional rights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You have the right to get a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.udi.no\/en\/word-definitions\/representatives-for-unaccompanied-minor-asylum-seekers\/\" target=\"_blank\">representative<\/a> in Norway. A representative is an adult who acts on your behalf since you are unaccompanied. The representative looks after your rights in Norway, both legally and financially<\/li><li>You will also be appointed a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.udi.no\/en\/word-definitions\/lawyers-in-asylum-cases\/\" target=\"_blank\">lawyer<\/a><\/li><li>You will be offered an <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.udi.no\/en\/word-definitions\/age-examination-of-unaccompanied-minor-asylum-seekers\/\" target=\"_blank\">age examination<\/a> if the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) doubts whether you are below the age of 18. An age examination is made up of two parts: an X-ray of your hand and your teeth. A doctor will look at these X-rays and evaluate your age<\/li><li>If you do not wish to undergo an age examination, it may affect your asylum case<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><font><strong><font>\u27a1\ufe0f<\/font><\/strong><\/font><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/asylbarn.no\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here for more information about applying for asylum as a child in Norway<\/a>.
