Help for children and youth

If you are a child who is alone, or with adults who are hurting you or not taking care of you, there are people who can help you.

Here is how you can get help:

In Abuja, Lagos, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Kano, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Benue, and Taraba, the UNHCR team and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development work together to protect children.

In all other locations, you can go directly to your State’s Ministry of Women Affairs. They are there to help you.

We are here to support you.

If you are a child living in a refugee settlement and you need help right now, go and find:

  • A helper or worker you know in the settlement working with UNHCR.
  • Or, find a leader who works with the government like NCFRMI or other partners as CARITAS.
