Can UNHCR help me or my relatives leave Afghanistan?
UNHCR is unable to assist Afghans in Afghanistan to leave the country.

I have heard of evacuation missions set up by the New Zealand Government. Can UNHCR help me get evacuated?
New Zealand is no longer accepting applications from Afghan nationals for resettlement in New Zealand. Applications received before 11.59pm 25 August 2021 (New Zealand Time) will continue to be processed. Can I get a visa to go to New Zealand?
Whilst UNHCR exercises a supervisory role over the implementation of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol in New Zealand we are not able to assist with individual visa applications.
