This applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The citizens of Ukraine,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stateless persons with the last residence in Ukraine and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Persons granted international protection in Ukraine, if they cannot return to their country of origin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In mid-October 2026, Montenegro amended its Decision on Temporary Protection, introducing <strong>additional eligibility requirements for Ukrainian men subject to military service applying for TP<\/strong>. Under the amendment, they will be eligible only if they resided in Ukraine prior to arriving in Montenegro and have fulfilled their military service obligation or are exempt from it. The new requirements do not apply to Ukrainian nationals already granted TP in Montenegro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The current TP regime is valid until 04 March 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pension Verification Requirement for Ukrainian Refugees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to recent legislative changes in Ukraine, <strong>all Ukrainian pensioners residing abroad must complete a verification procedure<\/strong> in order to continue receiving pension payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to Complete Verification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can complete the procedure through one of the following modalities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Videoconference Verification via the PFU Portal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may request a video call via the PFU portal or by calling the hotline: <strong>0800 503 753<\/strong>.<br>Calls are usually scheduled within 10\u201330 days and conducted via Google Meet, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Viber, or Zoom.<br>You will be asked to present your original passport\/ID and pension certificate during the call.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Verification at a Ukrainian Consulate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visit the nearest Ukrainian consulate to confirm your identity and place of residence.<br>You will receive a <strong>certificate of identity<\/strong>, which you can upload via the PFU portal to complete verification.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. In-Person Verification in Ukraine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are currently in Ukraine, you can visit any PFU service centre.<br><strong>Please note:<\/strong> Due to the suspension of thousands of pensions in January 2026, long queues are currently reported nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Additional Requirement for Pensioners from Temporarily Occupied Territories (ToTs)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are from the ToTs, you must confirm that you are <strong>not receiving a pension from the Russian Federation<\/strong>, by doing one of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Selecting the relevant declaration box in your PFU online account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stating this explicitly during videoconference verification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sending a written declaration by email or postal mail to the PFU<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After completing all steps, <strong>please verify that your PFU personal account reflects the correct date of verification and declaration<\/strong>.
