The Unit provides guidance and information about the Maltese educational system to assist non-Maltese students. For more information, please visit the official website <a href=\"https:\/\/ildmalta.gov.mt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Children of <strong>asylum seekers<\/strong> and asylum seekers who are children shall have access to the education system under similar conditions as Maltese nationals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asylum seekers<\/strong> must be allowed access to vocational training irrespective of whether they have access to the labour market.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asylum seekers<\/strong> in Malta may apply for exemptions from fees payable at state educational institutions. For more information on exemptions from tuition fees at state educational institutions, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/mychild.gov.mt\/en\/service\/exemptions-from-tuition-fees-at-state-educational-institutions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Persons with <strong>refugee status<\/strong> may access compulsory school and higher education in Maltese state educational institutions and apply for an exemption from fees at state educational institutions (covering compulsory education, vocational studies e.g. MCAST, tertiary studies e.g. University of Malta, and adult learning e.g. Lifelong Learning courses). Please find the application form <a href=\"https:\/\/mychild.gov.mt\/en\/service\/exemptions-from-tuition-fees-at-state-educational-institutions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Persons granted <strong>Temporary Protection<\/strong>, need to fill in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/mapsss.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Pre-Registration-Form-Logo-MFED-April-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">this form<\/a> to enrol their child in a Maltese State School.
