Assessment of your application"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-background\" style=\"background-color:#cccccc30\">If the application is admissible, the Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct an <strong>in-depth personal interview<\/strong>. The interview is an opportunity for you&nbsp;<strong>to explain in detail the reasons for your asylum (international protection) application<\/strong>&nbsp;and also the reasons why you have left your country, therefore:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must present yourself\u00a0<strong>in person<\/strong>\u00a0at the scheduled date and time with your invitation and certificate (pink document) at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/guichet.public.lu\/en\/citoyens\/organismes\/organismes_citoyens\/ministere-interieur\/direction-immigration-service-refugies.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department for Refugees at the General Department of Immigration (DGIM)<\/a>. <strong>Failure to show up<\/strong>\u00a0at the scheduled interview can only be justified by\u00a0<strong>medical reasons<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each adult of the same family is interviewed&nbsp;<strong>separately<\/strong>. Another member of the family may exceptionally be present;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are allowed to be assisted by an&nbsp;<strong>interpreter, <\/strong>and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/guichet.public.lu\/en\/citoyens\/citoyennete\/voies-recours-reglement-litiges\/frais-avocat\/demander-assistance-judiciaire.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>a lawyer may also assist you<\/strong><\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The answers to the questions must be sincere, clear and reflect the truth;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&nbsp;<strong>must produce<\/strong>, if you have them, the&nbsp;<strong>original documents<\/strong>&nbsp;or other papers which may prove your&nbsp;<strong>identity<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>nationality<\/strong>, marital status, reason for your application, etc. Any document submitted in a language other than German, English or French must be accompanied by a translation in one of these 3 languages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Statements<\/strong>&nbsp;made during the interview are&nbsp;<strong>noted to draw up a written, detailed and factual report<\/strong>. You have the right to read over the report or to have it read out loud. Finally, you are invited to&nbsp;<strong>sign the report to confirm its content.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interviews are&nbsp;<strong>confidential<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Besides the interview, you may be asked to do linguistic tests or a medical examination as part of the assessment of your application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/luxembourg\/asylum\/decision\/\" style=\"background-color:#0072bc\"><strong>Step 4.
