However, not everyone may be who they say they are; some people may have different intentions and may wish to take advantage of your situation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For example, they may promise you accommodation, transport, or free food, and use this as a way to pressure you into sexual acts, work or other services you do not agree with. Or they may want to harm you or take your documents or other belongings. If you believe you are a victim of trafficking, or you have a suspicion that someone else is, you should contact the Luxembourg police force, who are available to help.\u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fdf799\"><strong>In case of emergency or if you are under an imminent threat, please call&nbsp;113 (line open 24\/7)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>On working days between 8 am and 4 pm, you can also contact the police<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>by phone at: <a href=\"tel: +352 244 60 3220\">(+352) 244 60 3220<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>by email: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:traite@police.etat.lu\" target=\"_blank\">traite@police.etat.lu<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Every contact with the police will be treated in strict confidence.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/stoptraite.lu\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Additional information can be found on the website of the Stop Traite organization<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-background\" style=\"background-color:#abb7c230\"><strong>Tips for keeping safe:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Always:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be alert and follow your own intuition about people you don\u2019t know.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always hold onto your documents. Take copies of them on your phone and send them to someone you trust.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep in touch with your family and other people you trust.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Know your rights and where you can access help.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seek reliable information from trusted sources.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>If you are looking for transportation:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use organized transportation by known providers, as far as this is possible.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t accept being removed from your family or those you arrived with, and don\u2019t give away your documents. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always agree on a price beforehand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>If you are looking for a place to stay:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use accommodation provided or facilitated by known organizations, if possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Look for a reception center, hotel, hostel and non-governmental organizations that offer accommodation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If using an online service provider, make sure to select hosts that have a positive rating and look at the reviews on the page.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you stay with private individuals, try to ask around about the person first. You can ask the person to show you their identity document. Don\u2019t accept being removed from your family or those you arrived with, and don\u2019t give away your documents. Ask if anything is expected of you in return, and always agree on a price beforehand.&nbsp; Tell someone you trust where you will be staying and whom you will be staying with.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Be alert if someone:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>is asking for your passport or other identification documents (apart from public authorities, for example, at immigration checkpoints);&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is asking for your phone, laptop or other means of communication;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>wants to remove you from your family or others you are travelling with;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is offering you a job that sounds too good to be true; \u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is pressuring you to perform work, services or sex (including to repay \u2018debts\u2019);&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is offering you assistance \u2013 such as food \u2013 only if you do \u2018services\u2019;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is promising to help you get registered, relocated or resettled to another country for payment (except for regular transportation fees);&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is hiring you but not paying you, or paying only part of what was promised;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is hiring you but not giving you decent working conditions or limiting your movement, for example, by taking your documents or locking the door.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-background\" style=\"background-color:#cce3f2\">The below organisations may be able to help you.
