Exceptions apply to citizens from EU and EFTA countries and some other countries. Liechtenstein does not issue its own visas. The application for a visa needs to be submitted in advance at the Swiss representation (with exceptions) located in or responsible for the country where you currently are. Visas are issued for a particular purpose and will only be granted if you fulfil the necessary conditions.
