In response to many requests from refugees, and with the support of donors, UNHCR is updating its assistance for returns as part of ongoing efforts to respond to identified refugee needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNHCR Jordan currently provides the following assistance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For refugees residing in Azraq or Za\u2019atari Refugee Camps: <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All refugees who are actively registered with UNHCR and living in either Za\u2019atari or Azraq camps are eligible to receive JOD 70 per individual to support their return.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>[April 2026 Update]<\/strong> In addition, some refugee families residing in Za\u2019atari and Azraq camps identified as having specific vulnerabilities (as outlined below) will receive an additional one-time payment of JOD 210 per family, in addition to the JOD 70 provided to each individual family member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For refugees residing in host communities or in Garden Camp:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At the current time, refugees residing in host communities or in Garden Camp are not eligible to receive cash assistance. Refugees living in host communities or in Garden Camp continue to have access to bus transportation through JETT, which includes ticket coverage and a 50 kg luggage allowance per person.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>UNHCR will provide this assistance subject to the availability of funds. Refugee communities will be informed of any changes or updates to this support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNHCR regularly reviews its programs to best meet the needs of refugees. Any updates will be shared on <a href=\"https:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/jordan\/en\/\">UNHCR\u2019s Helpsite<\/a> and official WhatsApp groups. Please note that all UNHCR services, including voluntary return assistance, are always free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Returning to Syria is a personal choice. UNHCR encourages refugees to decide based on their own situation and informed understanding of conditions in Syria. Our role is to ensure you have the information and support needed to make that decision freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, or to express interest in UNHCR\u2019s returns assistance programs, please contact the UNHCR\u2019s Helpline at 06-4008000.
