If money or any other form of favours, including of a sexual nature, is requested from you, in exchange of UNHCR services please report it to UNHCR and\/or the nearest police station immediately.<br><br>Report fraudsters who are offering you resettlement, financial or other kinds of assistance, fake documents or fake claims in exchange for money or other favours. These offers may be made to you in person or via social media, including Facebook, YouTube, or WhatsApp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People who tell you such lies are seeking to take advantage of your situation and\/or your money. Avoid them at all costs. They may show you information to persuade you that they are connected to UNHCR. <strong>Do not believe them. Be alert and don\u2019t get defrauded.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\">How do I complain about a fraud attempt that was not committed by UNHCR staff or their partners?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Call the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/jordan\/unhcr-helpline\/\">UNHCR Helpline<\/a> on 064008000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send an email to UNHCR Jordan <a href=\"mailto:joramafp@unhcr.org\">joramafp@unhcr.org<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important points:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UNHCR takes all complaints seriously and follows up on each individually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filing a complaint will not in any way impact your case with UNHCR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complaints may be done anonymously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In your complaint, please provide facts and evidence known to you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All communication with UNHCR is kept confidential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\">Fraud and corruption committed by UNHCR staff, or staff of UNHCR\u2019s partners<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is corruption?&nbsp;<\/strong>It is offering, giving, receiving or soliciting (directly or indirectly) anything of value to influence improperly the actions of UNHCR.<br><strong>What is sexual exploitation?<\/strong>&nbsp;It is any actual or attempted abuse of any position of vulnerability, for sexual purposes.&nbsp;<strong>Sexual exploitation and abuse<\/strong>&nbsp;is unacceptable behaviors and are prohibited for all United Nations and partner NGO\u2019s staff members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-dark-gray-color has-text-color\"><strong>How do I complain about UNHCR staff?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have information about UNHCR staff, or staff of UNHCR partners or contractors, being involved in corruption, exploitation (including sexual exploitation), fraud, or sexual abuse report it immediately and directly to UNHCR\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/inspector-generals-office.html#_ga=2.261652170.677804360.1584634434-491681165.1582188303\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/inspector-generals-office.html#_ga=2.261652170.677804360.1584634434-491681165.1582188303\"> Inspector-General\u2019s Office<\/a> (IGO) at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
