The Gender\nRecognition Act was also passed in 2015 which allows all individuals over the\nage of 18 to self-declare their own gender identity. Young people aged 16-17\ncan also apply to be legally recognised, though the process is more onerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All police stations in Ireland\nhave an LGBT liaison officer. BelongTo run youth groups and previously operated a project specifically for LGBTI+ asylum-seekers and refugees.
