You can do that regardless of whether you have a valid visa, travel documents or Icelandic residence permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><font><strong><font>\u27a1\ufe0f<\/font><\/strong><\/font><strong>If you are in Reykjavik, you can apply for asylum at the reception centre for applicants for international protection<\/strong>, located in Egilsgata 3 in Reykjavik. It is open during daytime working hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><font><strong><font>\u27a1\ufe0f<\/font><\/strong><\/font>I<strong>f you are not in Reykjavik, you can apply for asylum at any Police station<\/strong>. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.logreglan.is\/\" target=\"_blank\">Find here a list of police stations, with addresses and opening hours of the police stations where you can apply for asylum in Iceland<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>You do not need to make an appointment to apply for asylum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/island.is\/s\/utlendingastofnun\" target=\"_blank\">You can also find more information about international protection in Iceland on the website of the Icelandic Government<\/a>, which contains information in Icelandic and English. You can select one of these languages at the top of the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All matters concerning the asylum procedure are managed by the Icelandic authorities according to the national rules and regulations and with trained and competent national officials specialised in asylum matters.
