The services shall be provided to you based on your Ukrainian travel document, based on a bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Hungary. The full list of conditions qualifying as an urgent need can be accessed (<a href=\"https:\/\/net.jogtar.hu\/jogszabaly?docid=a0600052.eum\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finding a doctor in Hungary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can access primary health care services by booking an appointment with a <strong>general practitioner (GP)<\/strong> assigned to your area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To find the <strong>contact details<\/strong> of your general practitioner, <a href=\"https:\/\/app.powerbi.com\/view?r=eyJrIjoiMTkwOWI0MTctZDY1NS00YmQwLTg3OGEtYWJmYjBlNmExYzk3IiwidCI6ImU1YzM3OTgxLTY2NjQtNDEzNC04YTBjLTY1NDNkMmFmODBiZSIsImMiOjh9\">go to this website<\/a>, and set the district of your official address and then the city. You&#8217;ll see available general practitioners in your area, along with their contact details and addresses. In some residential buildings, you might also find the general practitioner\u2019s info on a bulletin board near the entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>specialised treatment<\/strong> beyond emergencies, you&#8217;ll need a <strong>referral <\/strong>from your&nbsp;general practitioner, who can guide you to the right service. Only some specialised healthcare services can be visited without GP referral: dermatology, gynaecology, urology, psychiatry and addiction therapy, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, general surgery and trauma surgery (traumatology), oncology. Interpreters will assist your doctor with translation from Ukrainian\/Russian to Hungarian during healthcare interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"214\" height=\"80\" src=\"https:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/hungary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/86\/2024\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"Image of a health care institution\" class=\"wp-image-9655\" style=\"width:86px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p id=\"pre_access-to-medication-and-medical-devices\">Alternatively, you can book an interpreter with the International Organisation for Migration (<strong>IOM<\/strong>)<strong>. <\/strong>To register please click <a href=\"https:\/\/outlook.office365.com\/owa\/calendar\/IOMTranslationService@iomint.onmicrosoft.com\/bookings\/\">here<\/a>. Please make sure you request the support service in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access to medication and medical devices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I In Hungary, medicines are divided into two groups based on social security coverage: non-subsidised and subsidised medicines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subsidised medicines are decided centrally; you can ask your doctor to prescribe a medicine that is subsidised by the social security system. The rate of subsidy is also centrally determined and can be 80%, 55% or 25% of the full price. The fee of medication is the following: total prize \u2013 subsidy = subsidized price. There is no such thing as a completely free medicine, you have to pay for 300 HUF for the medication&#8217;s box at least.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"pre_diavetes-support\">You can find medicines with or without social security subsidies in any pharmacy. To find a pharmacy near you, search for &#8220;Pharmacy&#8221; or &#8220;&#8221;Pharmacy&#8221; on Google Maps<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wheelchair, hearing aid or any other medical devices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside the social insurance system, you can <strong>rent <\/strong>medical devices at a reasonable price at several NGOs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"pre_healthcare-workers-coming-from-ukraine\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wheelchair: <a href=\"https:\/\/merek.hu\/fejleszto-foglalkoztatas\/bemutatkozas\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/merek.hu\/fejleszto-foglalkoztatas\/bemutatkozas\">Few words about MEREK | gurul\u00f3 &#8211; Mozg\u00e1skorl\u00e1tozott emberek foglalkoztat\u00e1s\u00e1t, \u00f6n\u00e1ll\u00f3 \u00e9letvitel\u00e9t seg\u00edt\u0151 h\u00e1l\u00f3zat<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic rehabilitation, dog for blind, audio library: <a href=\"https:\/\/mvgyosz.hu\/en\/mvgyosz-mainpage\/#contact\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kapcsolat &#8211; Magyar Vakok \u00e9s Gyeng\u00e9nl\u00e1t\u00f3k Orsz\u00e1gos Sz\u00f6vets\u00e9ge (mvgyosz.hu)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Healthcare workers coming from Ukraine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"pre_our-partner\">TP beneficiaries and Hungarian nationals previously living in Ukraine who hold a state-recognized healthcare qualification issued by Ukrainemay begin performing healthcare services in Hungary <strong>before<\/strong> the formal <strong>recognition <\/strong>of their professional qualification. However, the recognition procedure needs to be started. Until it is completed, healthcare professionals can work with the supervision of an entitled medical professional authorized to practice in Hungary.
