If money or any form of favours (including of sexual nature) is requested from you, please&nbsp;report&nbsp;it to UNHCR immediately. Be aware that any UNHCR services offered to you in exchange for money are fraudulent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-href-https-www-unhcr-org-about-unhcr-governance-and-oversight-inspector-generals-office-igo-reporting-misconduct-igo-online-what-is-sexual-exploitation-a\"><strong>What is sexual exploitation?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Sexual exploitation means any actual or attempted abuse of position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust, for sexual purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Humanitarian workers are not allowed to pay for sex with money, employment, goods or services \u2013 including goods and services intended as aid to people in need. They must not use promises of these things to make other people accept any kind of behaviour that humiliates or exploits them. This includes paying or offering money for sex with a prostituted person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Humanitarian workers have influence over who receives goods and services. This places them in a position of power in relation to people who need assistance. For that reason, humanitarian organizations strongly encourage staff not to have sexual relationships with anyone affected by a humanitarian emergency. Such relationships make humanitarian action seem less honest and credible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-href-https-www-unhcr-org-about-unhcr-governance-and-oversight-inspector-generals-office-igo-reporting-misconduct-igo-online-what-is-sexual-abuse-a\"><strong>What is sexual abuse?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Sexual abuse means the actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, carried out by force, or under unequal or coercive conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Humanitarian workers are not allowed to have sexual relationships with anyone under the age of 18, even if it is legal in their country.
