It might come from a spouse, a relative of yours, from someone you do not know personally or from someone in power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gender-based violence (GBV)<\/strong> is a serious violation of human rights and a life-threatening health and protection issue. When people flee their homes, they are often at greater risk of physical, sexual and psychological violence, such as rape, sexual abuse, trafficking and forced prostitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have experienced sexual violence, please visit a hospital as soon as possible to make sure you get the medical support you might need. Please note that seeking medical support<strong> within 72hrs<\/strong> after the assault is very important for your health and next steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For assistance, you can contact the following numbers for free:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Police at <strong>100<\/strong> \/ <strong>112<\/strong> (in case of immediate danger). By calling 112 authorities can trace your location,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National Center of Social Solidarity (EKKA) Emergency Social Assistance Line at <strong>197<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SOS Helpline of the General Secretariat of Family Planning and Gender Equality at <strong>15900<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diotima Center at <strong>+30 210324 4380<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are under 18, contact the organisation Smile of a Child at <strong>1056<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For a list of hospitals on duty (daily updated) click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moh.gov.gr\/articles\/citizen\/efhmeries-nosokomeiwn\/68-efhmeries-nosokomeiwn-attikhs\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-43e54fc998ac3de0772a05b6ebe3bf81\" style=\"background-color:#fcf366\"><strong>If you are living in a camp<\/strong>, you can speak to the person in charge of the camp or to a doctor or a nurse from the medical actors working in the camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-white-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-ef400054cc6b11bc92a0fd8078f67425\" style=\"background-color:#0072bc\"><strong>Human Trafficking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Did someone take away your identity card or passport?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does someone force you to work, engage in illegal activity, or have sex against your will?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does someone pressure you to work or perform sexual acts to pay off a debt?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Were you misled about the nature of the job, the location, or the employer?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you working excessive days or hours with no rest, not paid about your work, are you doing dangerous work, without an opportunity to report it?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you isolated, locked up or under surveillance?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does someone limit your movement, by taking your documents, locking the door, or threatening to report you to the authorities?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is there someone who tries to separate you from your family, or threatens to harm you or your family?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is there someone who promises jobs, education, opportunities, legal papers or travel to another country, in exchange of services?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does someone force you to steal, or to carry or sell drugs?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you answered \u201cyes\u201d to those questions in relation to yourself or someone you know, you or that person may be a victim of human trafficking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Human trafficking<\/strong>, commonly defined as \u201cmodern slavery\u201d, is the buying and selling of human beings (men, women and children) for the purpose of exploitation, usually sex, forced labor or the removal of organs. Traffickers threaten or use force, deception, coercion or abuse of power over victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human trafficking is a serious crime and a serious violation of human rights.
