Coast
What is the weather like?
The coast, comprised of provinces near the Pacific Ocean, has a warm beach weather with temperatures ranging from approximately 25 to 36 ºC (77-97ºF).
What clothes should I wear?
In this part of the country, it is usually hot so light clothes are worn. During some times of the year, it is a little more windy and rainy, so you usually need some sweaters and pants. In the evenings, it gets a bit windy, which makes the weather cooler.
Highlands
What is the weather like?
The central part of the country is crossed by the Andes ⛰️ mountain range and is known as the Highland region. Here you’ll find cold ☁️ and dry weather ranging from 7 to 21ºC (45-70ºF.) This region is known for having a changing weather in which temperature may change throughout the day.
What clothes should I wear?
We recommend that whenever you go out, even when it?’s sunny ☀ ️ or cold, you take with you an extra sweater, ☂ ️ an umbrella, and a sun cap.
Amazon
What is the weather like?
In the eastern part of the country, in the Amazon region, the weather is warm and humid, and you can experience a temperature between 25 and 34ºC (77-93ºF), and a humidity of 90%.
What clothes should I wear?
In this part of the country, since the weather is very hot, people wear light clothes; however, in the most jungle areas rubber boots and long sleeve shirts are usually worn to prevent insect bites .
Galapagos
What is the weather like?
In the Galapagos Islands, the weather is also hot, with temperatures ranging from 14 to 30ºC (57-86ºF) .
What clothes should I wear?
Like on the coast, light clothes should be worn in this part of the country. During some times of the year, it is a little more windy and rainy, so you usually need some sweaters and pants. In the evenings, it gets a bit windy, which makes the weather cooler.
