{"id":386,"date":"2022-11-24T14:14:12","date_gmt":"2022-11-24T14:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/croatia\/?page_id=386"},"modified":"2024-08-21T14:52:46","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T14:52:46","slug":"report-fraud-and-corruption","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/croatia\/homepage\/report-fraud-and-corruption\/","title":{"rendered":"Report Fraud and Corruption"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>All UNHCR assistance is provided free of charge.<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong> Be aware that&nbsp;any UNHCR services offered to you in exchange for money are fraudulent.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is misconduct?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The United Nations defines misconduct as \u201cany failure by a staff member to comply with his or her obligations under the Charter of the United Nations, the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules or other administrative issuances, or to observe the standards of conduct expected of an international civil servant.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fraud and&nbsp;corruption&nbsp;<\/strong> are considered misconduct, whether by UNHCR personnel or partner staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Be alert to fraud<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Do not trust anyone or any organization asking you to pay for the services of UNHCR or its partners.<\/li><li>Ask to see official ID cards of people claiming to be service providers before sharing your personal information and identify documents<\/li><li>Avoid those offering you resettlement, financial or other kind of assistance, fake documents, or fake claims in exchange for money or other favors.
