If you are below the age of 18 and have arrived in Croatia alone, immediately inform the authorities / police officer so that a guardian can be appointed to you. Your guardian will protect your rights during the procedure. If you are below the age of 18 who arrived in Croatia without your family, you are entitled to a legal representative/special guardian who will prepare you for the interview with the Croatian asylum authorities and courts. The representative is also present during those interviews. The Croatian asylum authorities (Ministry of Interior/Service for Asylum) will examine your application and will decide in accordance with European Union and Croatian legislation – visit this page for more information.
