All UNHCR services are FREE of charge!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complementary pathways<\/strong> are avenues for refugees to <strong>lawfully stay in a third country<\/strong> where their international <strong>protection needs are met<\/strong>. Refugees who are given legal access to a third country can gradually attain a more sustainable permanent status. Below are some types of complementary pathways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-white-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#0072bc\"><strong>Private sponsorship<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In some third countries a group of individuals or organizations can help sponsor refugees to travel to that country legally. An example of this option is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/corporate\/publications-manuals\/guide-private-sponsorship-refugees-program\/section-2.html\">Canada\u2019s long-established private sponsorship&nbsp;programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements for these options vary from country to country. You can find more information on sponsorship&nbsp;programme&nbsp;at:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/refugeesponsorship.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/refugeesponsorship.org\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should find the sponsors by yourself and UNHCR is not able to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After your sponsors submit the application for you to the third country, the information exchange will be between you or your sponsors and the third country directly, not through UNHCR.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-white-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#0072bc\"><strong>Family reunification<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The countries listed below offer family reunification opportunities for refugees. If you have a relative in any of these countries and you would like to understand how they can assist you in joining them through a family reunification programme, click on the respective country name They are committed to opening labour mobility pathways for refugees and other displaced people.
