With the coronavirus pandemic public institutions changed their opening hours to the public. Check the latest information (this content will be constantly updated). Stay on top of the services offered by local governments.
Attention: If you are not able to find a reference institution for your city here, call 156 and seek the local representation of the Social Assistance.


Federal Police

According to the latest updates from the Federal Police, all documents that expired after March 16, 2020 will be considered valid for registration or entry purposes until September 16, 2021.

After that period, the applicant for refuge or refugee, who remained in the national territory during that period, must renew his document.

Identify your situation and make an appointment with the Federal Police:

  • If you are an asylum seeker, that is, you already have the protocol number, and you need to renew your protocol:
    – If you are already registered with SISCONARE, you must schedule your trip to the Federal Police by clicking here;
    – If you have not yet registered, find out how to register by clicking here. After registering, you can make an appointment at the Federal Police.

CONARE

The General Coordination of the National Committee for Refugees (CG-Conare) decided, last updated, on November 16, 2020, that:

About the validity of documents

– Refuge Protocols expired on March 16, 2020 will be accepted and may be used until March 16, 2021;

– Protocols expired between March 16, 2020 and March 16, 2021 must be renewed until September 16, 2021 (under penalty of extinction).

About procedural deadlines

The procedural deadlines are resumed in the administrative processes under the competence of the National Committee for Refugees (Conare).

The deadlines already started will be resumed in the state they were in at the time of the suspension and refunded for a period equal to the time remaining for their completion.

Customer Service

Face-to-face services at the units in São Paulo (SP), Campinas (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Brasília (DF) have not yet resumed.

Those interested in obtaining a Certificate of Migration Movement must request it by e-mail informing the applicant’s qualifying data, such as full name, date of birth, passport number and the necessary period. As soon as the certificate is available for withdrawal, the applicant will be notified by the same email.

Online medical care
The Municipal Health Secretariat, in partnership with Unimed-BH, offers patients treated by SUS-BH the online consultation modality for suspected cases of Coronavirus. All residents of Belo Horizonte, registered at Health Centers in the capital, will now have access to the tool provided by Unimed-BH and can perform this type of care with SUS doctors through the website: consultacoronavirus.pbh.gov.br. The service will be open from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm.

The consultation should be performed by people who have symptoms such as cough, sore throat, nasal congestion and runny nose, with or without fever. The initiative aims to serve and guide the population, thus reducing the circulation of people, especially the groups at greatest risk – such as the elderly, immunosuppressed and pregnant women – to health services.

Hospital da Criança Santo Antônio
Urgent and emergency care and COVID-19-related services are working. Exam appointments and appointments are canceled.

Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS)
Elective appointments, preventive exams, and routine vaccines (with the exception of H1N1) are suspended. Consultations for the first time (beginning of prenatal care) and for pregnant women from the 36th week are maintained, as well as in the case of any pregnancy complications, such as suspected urinary tract infection. Childcare follow-up consultation (for children up to 02 years old) are also suspended, with the exception of the 1st childcare consultation, for children aged 7 days old. Urgent and emergency care (cancer cases, patients with HIV, tuberculosis, diabetes or other serious medical conditions) must be attended too.

Hospital Coronel Mota
Specialized Assistance Service (SAE) for patients with HIV, Pharmacy and prescription renewal remains in operation. Consultations are suspended, including first service.

Hospital Geral de Roraima
Assistance in cases of suspicion to COVID-19. Non-covid-19 and non-surgical emergencies will be redirected to the Emergency Department of Policlínica Cosme e Silva, in the neighborhood.
