On November 1st, there will be the 4th edition of the Fórum Empresarial de Empregabilidade e Empreendedorismo para Refugiados e Migrantes (Business Forum on Employability and Entrepreneurship for Refugees and Migrants). This event, which has had editions in Manaus, Curitiba and Belo Horizonte, brings together business people, refugees, representatives of NGOs, the public sector, and other actors dealing with the theme. The objective is to align sustainable economic development with the growth of the refugee and migrant population. The program will feature presentations by representatives of UNHCR, Global Compact Brazil Network, WeWork and the municipal and state administration of Rio de Janeiro. At the end of the event, there will be a discussion of good business practices in including refugees and migrants, and a panel of Operação Acolhida (Operation Welcomed).
At the same event, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Global Compact Brazil Network will launch the Empresas com Refugiados (Companies with Refugees) platform in Rio de Janeiro, an initiative that aims to help companies in the hiring process and expand the insertion of refugees. in the Brazilian job market.
