Call for refugee musicians at Feira Preta Festival 2019 – SP

The Festival Feira Preta took place for the first time in 2002 only as a fair for black entrepreneurs, but today it is a festival with a different program: besides the fair of products and services, other areas are explored in the festival, such as technology, literature, music, digital art among others. The festival takes place in different points of São Paulo.

For the 2019 festival, the organization is receiving submissions from refugee groups or individuals who are musicians and play musical instruments and styles from African, Caribbean and other countries. A band will be formed together with the Moreira Salles Institute (IMS) that will perform in November and December, with dates to be set, in the IMS Paulista space, on Paulista Avenue.
