The Centro Universitário Avantis – UniAvan, in the city of Balneário Camboriú / SC, launched the second edition of the Program for Access to Technical and Higher Education for Refugees and Immigrants in vulnerable situations. There are 24 places available for the following degrees in the categories in the form of in-person classes and distance learning classes (EaD, in portuguese) : Administration (in-person and EaD), Biomedicine (EaD), Accounting Sciences (in-person and EaD), Physical Education Bachelor’s Degree, Pedagogy (in-person), Information Systems (in-person), Technology in Gastronomy (in-person)), Technology in Human Resources (EaD), Technology in Financial Management (EaD), Technology in Logistics (EaD), Technology in Marketing (EaD) Foreign Trade (EaD).
To apply, the immigrant or refugee must go to the Academic Department (ground floor of Block I) until July 12, from 9 am to 9 pm. Those who have completed high school or equivalent in the sending country or in another country where they have resided, with the exception of Brazil, may compete for vacancies. The selection process will be by a test with 10 questions of multiple choice and a discursive question of general knowledge.
It is presumed to be a migrant in a situation of vulnerability the holder of a humanitarian or permanent visa for humanitarian reasons, issued by the National Immigration Council.
Documents required for registration:
– Documentation proving the refugee status, issued by CONARE, for the applicant in refugee status;
– Protocol of request of refuge issued by the Federal Police, accompanied by proof of vulnerability;
– Identity card of a foreigner with temporary or permanent residency issued by the Federal Police or equivalent document, such as Personal Identification Number (CPF), Work Card (CTPS) or Passport, for the immigrant outside the refugee category;
– Proof of equivalent studies for entry into Higher or Technical Education.
