Event in SP offers medical exams, food hampers, toys and clothes for free

The Vila Guarani School Club, located in the south of São Paulo, will receive, on December 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a great social action, Islam Solidário. The event, organized by FAMBRAS, the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil, is part of the program of the VI Festival of Human Rights, promoted annually by the Municipal Department of Human Rights.

The participant will have access to a varied program and the opportunity to take care of health, beauty, access to quality information and have fun with the various cultural attractions. And the best: everything for free.

More than 250 health professionals will offer hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, hepatitis C and ophthalmologic examinations, with distribution of glasses. There will also be nutritional, dental and professional guidance on breast self-examination. Children will be given toothbrushing kits and will learn to care for their teeth properly. Haircuts, hygiene and facial moisturizing are part of the program, as well as massage, to relieve muscular tensions.

Children can have fun in a play area with inflatable toys, popcorn, and cotton candy. There will also be tents with face painting and sculpture of bladders. There will also be a distribution of 3 thousand toys, a thousand warm clothes and a thousand basic food hampers for families in need of the community around Vila Guarani.

What will be offered for free: health exams (cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension, hepatitis C and ophthalmology); nutritional counseling, breast, and dental self-examination; haircuts; facial hygiene; quick massage; guidelines for citizenship (Lilac buses, violence against women), leisure and cultural activities. There will also be a distribution of comic books, toys, baskets, and warm clothes.
