The UN has <strong>ZERO-TOLERANCE<\/strong> for sexual exploitation and abuse.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What is<strong>&nbsp;sexual exploitation?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any actual&nbsp;<em>or attempted<\/em>&nbsp;abuse of a position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust for sexual purposes. It includes trafficking for sexual reasons and prostitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What is<strong>&nbsp;sexual abuse?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any actual&nbsp;<em>or threatened<\/em>&nbsp;sexual intrusion carried out either by force or under unequal or coercive conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>United Nations staff and partners must not :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Have sexual activity with anyone in exchange for money, employment, preferential treatment, goods or services&nbsp;<\/li><li>Have sexual activity with any child under the age of 18 years old<\/li><li>Engage in any other form of sexually humiliating, degrading, or exploitative behaviour.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 Remember that sexual exploitation and abuse can happen to anyone and anywhere \u2014 men, women, boys, and girls \u2014 at any age,<\/em><\/strong><strong><em> with or without a disability, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender<\/em><\/strong><strong><em> \u2190<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to report Sexual Exploitation and Abuse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are aware of, have witnessed or are subjected to sexual exploitation and abuse by UNHCR, UN, NGOs and civil servants, <strong>you can report directly to<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UNHCR\u2019s Inspector General\u2019s Office based in UNHCR Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland by:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>using the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/igo-complaints.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online complaint form<\/a><\/li><li>confidential email:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:inspector@unhcr.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inspector@unhcr.org<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Confidential fax:&nbsp;+41 22 739 7380<\/li><li>Regular mail:&nbsp;94, rue de Montbrillant, Case postale 2500, 1211 Geneva, Switzerland<\/li><li><em>the IGO keeps the information it receives confidential &#8211;<\/em><em><\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To contact UNHCR to have more information about sexual exploitation and abuse, or for any other concern and complaint, please contacts us +32 (0) 472 18 92 65, Tuesday from 9.30 to 12.30.<br><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Sexual exploitation and abuse are unacceptable behaviours prohibited for United Nations staff and Partners.
