{"id":113,"date":"2020-11-03T08:07:43","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T08:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/belgium\/?page_id=113"},"modified":"2024-03-21T14:44:29","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T14:44:29","slug":"covid-19","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/help.unhcr.org\/belgium\/en\/covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As a resident of Belgium, it is important that you are aware of the precautions to protect yourself and others against contamination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you do to protect yourself?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal&nbsp;Public&nbsp;Service for Public&nbsp;Health&nbsp;provides recommendations&nbsp;on their website in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.info-coronavirus.be\/nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dutch<\/a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.info-coronavirus.be\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">French<\/a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.info-coronavirus.be\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">German<\/a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.info-coronavirus.be\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">English<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.integratie-inburgering.be\/corona-meertalige-info\">Agentschap Integratie en Inburgering<\/a>&nbsp;presents all sources of information together with information on contamination and&nbsp;the latest&nbsp;government measures in eighteen different languages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/setisw.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SeTIS\u00a0Wallon<\/a>,\u00a0a social interpreting service,\u00a0has also translated the precautionary measures and government decisions to combat the coronavirus. This information is available in 17 languages in PDF format and in 13 languages in video format.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.huisvoorgezondheid.be\/nieuws\/algemeen\/informatie-over-het-coronavirus-in-andere-talen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">House of Health<\/a>\u00a0also bundles multilingual information, and looks at local, urban advice.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do you need to know as an asylum-seeker?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedasilinfo.be\/en\/coronavirus-measures\">Fedasil\u00a0provides information<\/a>\u00a0in twelve languages regarding applications for international protection, measures in centers, the ban on assembly and what to do in case of illness.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can you go for help?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the website of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vluchtelingenwerk.be\/infolijn\">Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen<\/a>\u00a0you will find information on where to find shelter, sanitary facilities, food distributions, medical help, legal and social advice, psychological assistance and leisure activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is allowed\/not allowed and what can you do?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 50 humanitarian organizations, including UNHCR, have produced a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/interagencystandingcommittee.org\/iasc-reference-group-mental-health-and-psychosocial-support-emergency-settings\/my-hero-you\" target=\"_blank\">children&#8217;s book<\/a>&nbsp;that clearly explains the situation, the disease and the measures, in 15 languages.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a resident of Belgium, it is important that you are aware of the precautions to protect yourself and others against contamination.&nbsp; What can you do to protect yourself?
