Anyone having concerns or suspicions about possible misconduct by a UNHCR or UNHCR\u2019s partner, including sexual exploitation and abuse<em>,<\/em>\u00a0regardless of that person\u2019s position, should report such concerns.<\/p>\n<h3>What is misconduct?<\/h3>\n<p>All UN staff members as well as staffs of UNHCR\u2019s partners are bound to a code of conduct. Possible misconduct can include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sexual exploitation and abuse against persons of concern to UNHCR;<\/li>\n<li>Fraud (e.g. falsifying a document);<\/li>\n<li>Corruption (e.g. taking money from refugees or others);<\/li>\n<li>Theft and embezzlement (e.g. stealing equipment or money);<\/li>\n<li>Harassment, including sexual harassment;<\/li>\n<li>Assault, threats or retaliation;<\/li>\n<li>Non-compliance with local laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What is sexual exploitation and abuse?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sexual exploitation and abuse committed by UNHCCR staff members or by staffs of UNHCR\u2019s partners is considered a serious misconduct and can result in severe consequences.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to report misconduct or sexual exploitation and abuse?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>UNHCR\u00a0has <strong><u>zero tolerance<\/u><\/strong> for\u00a0sexual exploitation and abuse.
