UNHCR Office in Algiers ensures the reception of registered refugees and asylum seekers, provides information, advice and referrals related to internal services and procedures and on other services provided by UNHCR partners. This does not concern people who have registration appointments or refugee status determination interviews.

Who has access to this service?
This service is accessible to all refugees and asylum seekers registered with UNHCR in Algiers. All refugees and asylum seekers have free access without any discrimination based on sex, nationality, religion, etc. They are treated equally with particular attention to vulnerable persons.
How can I be received on Tuesday?
You must arrive at UNHCR office on Tuesday between 8:30 and 10:00 with your UNHCR document. If you arrive after 10:00, you might be received only if urgent. A maximum of 30 persons can be received every Tuesday.
Can I be received on another day?
You can be received on other days only if you have an appointment provided by UNHCR.
